too few filament out of nozzle... extruder slipping?!??

Hi,

since yesterday my RMV2 is running, more or less.

I was able to get 1.5 good prints out of the machine.
--> who designed that "home towers" button next to the speed setting???

The problem:
it seems that there is very few material coming from the nozzle. Especially at starupt it is definitely not enought. After some loops, there is a "ok" amount of material, so was able to get the (really) good prints.

At my second print atempts (layer fan duct) i got the hotend jammed. So i fixed this, and restarted the print. It worked all pretty well, but due to a Bluescreen i was not able to finish the print tonight.

I tried to restart the machine this morning, but couldn`t get it working.

I am printing ABS with 250C nozzle and 90C bed. The printer is stock.

It seems that the extruder is permanently slipping.

What i don´t know is the reason.

Is the hotend to cold?? (if i feed material manually by hand, there is a quite strong resistance. But The nozzle is free)

Is the extruder wrong/weak? ?
I tried to readjust the extruder wheel yesterday. So today it is for sure aligned right. There is some ABS residue on the whell.
If i assist the extruder (manually feeding material to the extruder while it´s running) i get more/better flow from the nozzle, but what is the reason?

What else affects the filament flow?

Thank you for help

If you truly did have your hotend set to 250c, you may have melted the peek insulator on the hot end. Max temp on the stok hotend is 245.

I don't run much ABS but the black I have, lays down great at 228/80. 250 is over the warning temp in the manual.

Check out the warning on page 233 of the Manual.

"WARNING: At no time should you allow your hot end
temperature to exceed 245C! The PEEK section of the hot end
will melt at 247C, requiring its replacement
!"

Hi,

The firmware limits the temp. at 247C. I have had some good prints with it.
It´s just that i get less and less flow

today i have disassembled the hotend and extruder. The hotend is free and everything, assmbled again. So i don´t think there is any damage to it.

Is there any peek damage possible that i am unable to see?

For the extruder i have put a "washer" under the spring to have more fritction.
It is still the same behavior. There is about no flow from the nozzle now.

I simply have lot´s of resistance in the hotend. If i remove the nozzle there is about no resistance. The filament is about to fall into the open end.

The nozzle should be good to. I have poked a 0.5mm wire through it....

How much resistance/force is "ok" to feed the filament? It is pretty hard to feed the material manual. I am barely able to push the material in the nozzle....

Hmm, if you Can't see any damage there likely isn't any. When you put on the brass nozzle, it seats onto the PTFE tube, right?

All the screws on your ezstruder are tight?

Hi again,

the problem is solved.

I had some "material" in the nozzle.

I could poke a wire through it, but the internal surrounding of the nozzle was clogged.

I have put the nozzle on a stove and heated it up well. Then poking around in the nozzle and there came some brown material.

Right now I am printing the layer fan and everything seems good.

I have reduced the temperature to 230C..
I maybe can reduce the extrusion percentage that i had increased at the last print... but that is tuning...

thank you
