3d printing a motorcycle seat. ideas?

As summer is approaching i have been toying with the idea of 3d printing a motorcycle seat for myself.

The reason is that i want a completely mesh seat. In the summer my arse is soaked by sweat.

The seat is approximately 45cm long. And only secured from both ends.

Obviously it will be a multi part print. I was thinking of first separating the seat design in two parts horizontally. And then printing it in 15-20cm slices. All stuck together with acetone with two threaded rods going through securing everything on the bottom.

Any ideas recommendations?

I'm not sure how much I'd relax on a seat like that on the road. But worth a try :)

10cm thick sections with 2.5cm jigsaw style interlocks to lock them together in X/Y and rods to lock Z once assembled should hold together pretty well.

Model the seat, or find a model. Cut it up, print it with the bottom down with no top and bottom layers, and use the infill to make the "mesh" pattern. Glue the pieces together and/or make a bracket to bolt them together.

I made up an example, and discovered a limitation to this technique. If there is too much of a contour, the perimeter lines will completely "fill in" the open mesh, as is seen in the photos.

This reminds me of my riding jacket idea... It's got a hundred little tiny pockets for flavor-ice on the inside :)
